What's new

  • Police officers and members of the community are joining forces Aug. 5 for National Night Out, an evening of events intended to generate participation and support for local crime prevention activities. Howard County events will kick off at 6 p.m. at in the common area of Harpers Choice Village Center and the parking lot adjacent to Ruth Keeton Way. Police are asking citizens to turn on outside lights and spend at least one hour in front of their homes to send a message to criminals that communities are banding together to fight crime. The police department has helped to organize more than 20 neighborhood parties throughout the county. For a complete list of party locations, click here. We look forward to seeing you!
  • As of July 1, 2014, HCPD will no longer be able to provide fingerprint services to the public due to new state technology requirements. State-approved commercial vendors can provide the required electronic technology, known as Livescan. A list of vendors can be found at www.dpscs.state.md.us.
