Publications and Reports Columbia Town Center Wilde Lake Construction Construction Report: Development in the county is tracked on a daily basis. This report provides monthly updates on the development process and tabulates new residential construction by unit type based on use and occupancy permits. An annual report covering development activity in the county for each year and summary for the past five years. The DMS system was put in place as part of the County's Adequate Public Facilities Act adopted in 1992. The purpose is to provide a growth management process that will enable the county to provide adequate public roads and schools in a timely manner and achieve General Plan growth objectives. The process is designed to direct growth to areas where an adequate infrastructure exists of will exist." General Plan 2000 The County's General Plan has historically been revised approximately every ten years (1960, 1971, 1982, 1990). Regular updates are necessary for guiding decisions related to development, land preservation, changing demographic and employment trends, neighborhood sustainability, capital projects, County services and other key issues. Potential projects are prioritized on the basis of safety, level of demand, engineering feasibility, cost and other factors. Issue 16 summarizes the extent, rate of growth, and location of county residents with limited English proficiency. Languages spoken and country of origin for foreign born populations are also summarized. Senior Housing Senior Housing Plan: Defines recommended policies and program initiatives to be implemented over time. Watershed Restoration | Susan Overstreet | 410-313-4345 As part of the process for developing watershed restoration plans, information is collected about existing water quality and habitat conditions.
