MIXED PAPER RECYCLING

DID YOU KNOW...
1 ton of recycled paper saves 17 trees!

GENERAL RECYCLING TIPS

  • Paper recyclables must be clean. Remove food, plastic liners, waxed paper or styrofoam packaging material from inside boxes.
  • OOPS - your pizza boxes, paper plates and paper towels can't be recycled...they are contaminated and the Recycling Program cannot accept these items. Put them in the trash...not your recycling bag!

CURBSIDE COLLECTION

Once a week curbside collection of UNLIMITED amounts of MIXED PAPER is provided to residents living in single family homes and most townhomes and trailer parks in Howard County. An on-site, drop-off program is available to apartments, condominiums and other multi-family homes that use dumpsters for trash. Check with your Resident Manager or Management Office if recycling collection is not yet available to your community. Howard County can provide recycling containers to apartments or condominiums if requested by the management.
