Members Jeffrey G. Kinstler, Chairman. Mr. Kinstler has been a practicing attorney since 1990 and has been an Assistant Public Defender in the Felony Trial Division in Baltimore City since 1999. He is responsible for the representation of indiginent citizens of Maryland charged with the commission of felonies. Prior to joining the Public Defender's Office, Mr. Kinstler was a lawyer in general practice, representing clients in matters involving Commercial, Tort and Criminal Litigation as well as serving as General Counsel providing advice with regard to Real Property Leasing, Business Entity formation, Employment Law and Business Licensing. David W. Vovakes, Vice Chairman. Mr. Vovakes has been a Manager of Financial Planning & Assurance for Verizon Federal Systems since 1995. Here he produces fully integrated Strategic and Business Plans, manages capital programs and FCC compliance programs, develops business structures to execute foreign and domestic contracts. He assesses new business development marketing plans and manages a team of financial specialists. William A. Ross, Sr. William A. Ross, Sr. is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Affordable Housing Alliance, Inc., which provides home ownership opportunities for first time and economically disadvantaged home buyers throughout the United States and The Ross Company of Delaware, Inc., a real estate development and consulting firm located in Columbia, Maryland. The Ross Company clients include Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU), governmental agencies, private corporations and individuals. Mr. Ross was educated at Delaware State (college) University and the University of Maryland. He has resided in Columbia since 1968 and is married to Pinnie L. Ross. They are the parents of three and grandparents of three granddaughters. David E. Raderman. Mr. Raderman has been a partner of the Law Firm of Gallagher, Evelius & Jones of Baltimore, Maryland since 1991. He has been a practicing attorney since 1980. Mr. Raderman presently serves as a tax/corporate/security attorney. His practice includes statewide representation of taxation for low-income housing, tax credits, real estate, health care and general corporate law. He was recently appointed as the newest member of the Howard County Housing Commission, where he will serve a 5-year term. Raymond Johnson. Mr. Johnson provides 32 years experience working as lead teacher for the Howard County Community Action Council Head Start Program. Mr. Johnson has also served the past 31 years as President of the Fels Lane and Hilltop Tenants Association. Michael Riemer. (also serves as the Liaison with the Housing and Community Development Board). Currently, Mr. Riemer is semi-retired, but still a Principal with The Riemer Group, Columbia MD, land planning consultant and a Principal in the Patton, Harris, Rust and Associates, pc. Mr. Riemer is a registered Landscape Architect with the State of Maryland, Member of the American Society of Landscape Architects since 1971; member of the Home Builders Association of Maryland since 1974 and served as President and on the Board of Directors; he also has been a member of the Howard County Chamber of Commerce where he has served on the Board of Directors from 1989-1995, as President of the Board of Directors 1993-94 and as the Chamber CEO from 1997-1999. |
