Jen Terrasa

Having lived in Howard County most of her life, Jen Terrasa is deeply rooted in this community and deeply committed to its future. Jen is a mother, teacher, and lawyer. She looks forward to combining her passion for her community, her training as an advocate, and experience as a problem-solver to serve our great County.

A 33-year resident of Howard County, Jen has served her community as an activist, and has taken such roles as president of her homeowner’s association; vice-chair and then member of the Kings Contrivance Village Board; and member of the Howard County Planning Board.

Jen is a graduate of Oakland Mills High School and University of Maryland at College Park, where she earned a degree in sociology, graduating summa cum laude. During college, she interned in the Howard County’s Executive Office. Jen is also a graduate of the University of Baltimore Law School, where she graduated second in her class. While there, she was an editor on Law Review and worked as an intern with the Howard County Office of Law and Maryland Attorney General’s office. She has spent the past six years working for The Women’s Law Center of Maryland and teaching at the University of Baltimore Law School.

Jen is proud to be raising her three children, Tony, Kelsey and Joey, in Howard County, where they can experience the opportunity, diversity, and quality of life this community has to offer.
