Note: If more than one person from a group wishes to speak, they should speak as individuals, for a maximum of 3 minutes each. They should not identify themselves as group members or representatives. A group may have a single spokesperson for 5 minutes OR speak as individuals for 3 minutes each, but not both.

SPECIAL NOTE FOR DOWNTOWN COLUMBIA BILLS:

The legislation for Downtown Columbia (CB58-2009 and CB59-2009) will be introduced on Monday, November 2, 2009. Due to the anticipated volume of testimony, the Council has scheduled a separate public hearing on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. at the Board of Education. The electronic sign-up will be activated on the day following introduction, and will remain active until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 13, 2009. After 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 13th anyone is welcome to sign up in person at the hearing.

If you provide an e-mail address, you will receive notification of your position in the order for testimony. The notification will be sent by 5:00 p.m. on November 13, 2009. The order for testimony will follow the order of the electronic sign-up, followed by in-person sign-up subject to the Council’s discretion to accommodate special needs.

For those who will be testifying on both bills, individuals will be afforded 6 minutes and groups may have 10 minutes.
