Family and Children’s Services is a private, non-profit organization, providing a variety of services in Howard County, including family, couple and individual counseling. Specialized services include services to adolescents and their families, school-based services in selected elementary schools, services to families in transition from welfare to work and an Employee Assistance Program. Group services include parent education courses, a group for parents of children with ADHD, a support group for individuals and families dealing with HIV and a stress management workshop. In-home care services are available to frail elderly and persons with a disability. Many insurances are accepted, including Medical Assistance. Services are also provided on a sliding fee scale, based on income and number of family members.

JFS in Howard County offers counseling for individuals and families. Our Parent Resource Center offers workshops and support groups to families with young children. Services for older adults and their caregivers include elder care consultations, a caregivers support group and case management. Services are available on a non-sectarian basis.
